I will never have the proper words to express my gratitude to all the people who helped me, voted for me, and supported me throughout this campaign. You paid me your highest compliment by believing in me and my message of common-sense government.
For now, we lost the battle, but the war is far from over. As Chuchill once said, "...never give in, never, never, never, never - in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."
We can't, and I won't.

I want to prevent spending on unnecessary projects, improve streets and sidewalks that are clearly the responsibility of the city, and fight unnecessary tax increases. I would like to make sure that the senior residents of Sycamore can continue to live here without being taxed out of their homes. I will work toward plans that will provide for growth of the city in a reasonable and responsible manner.
Make no mistake about it, Sycamore is a growing community and will continue to grow, and the only prudent thing to do is to make sure that that growth is controlled and planned for wisely.
As the people's representative, I believe I have a responsibility to provide my neighbors with a voice in city government.
I will make myself available to you, the citizens I serve, through my e-mail address, my home phone, and/or in person, to understand your thoughts and ideas regarding the 4th Ward.
I will make it my responsibility to represent your views and to work on your behalf so you have a voice on the city council. I will be speaking for the residents of the 4th Ward and I will need to know your positions and views so that I may represent you appropriately.
